Creator Kit

The Creator Kit is the toolchain for building .po9-skin themes.

What’s inside

• Starter template — a valid, fully commented .po9-skin to build on.
• Validator (CLI) — run the same checks the app runs, locally.
• Packager — bundle a folder into a single .po9-skin file.

Install

No install required — run it straight from npm with npx:

npx po9-skin new my-skin   # scaffold a new skin folder

Prefer a global command? Install it once:

npm install -g po9-skin
po9-skin new my-skin

Common commands

npx po9-skin new my-skin            # scaffold from the starter
npx po9-skin validate ./my-skin     # security · compatibility · structure · version
npx po9-skin pack ./my-skin         # → outputs/<id>-<version>.po9-skin
