Getting Started

PO9 is a standard, not just an app. It defines .po9-skin — a portable, secure, versioned format for AI workspace skins — plus the tools to create, validate, and use them.

The three parts

What a skin is

A .po9-skin is one JSON document: a manifest (identity, version, attribution), a --dream-* color palette, and one embedded hero image. No folder, no zip, no code, no network.

The lifecycle

Create → Validate → Package → Import → Use. You author a tiny source folder (manifest.json + theme.css), the Validator checks it, the Packager serializes it into a single .po9-skin file, and the PO9 app imports and applies it. You can also write the JSON by hand or have an AI generate it — the importer enforces the same rules either way.
